Bicycle Touring and Vacation guide is produced by Coyne Publishing, producer of Recumbent and Tandem Rider Magazine (rtrmag.com) and Bicycle Commuter Guide. Recumbent and Tandem Rider began publishing in 2001 and since our first issue, has included articles about being out on the road. We cycling enthusiasts enjoy touring and at least one major tandem manufacturer, Santana cycles, enjoys touring so much that they produce their own tours.
Not long after rtrmag.com got underway, we started jonesing to go on the exotic tours we were reading and editing stories about and as the recumbent and tandem experts we were often given the compliment of being expected to know everything there was to know about them, including the best places to go on a vacation. This intrigued us greatly and we looked around for a single, authoritative source for this information and couldn’t find it. So, we got to work and here it is!
Now, the Bicycle Touring and Vacation Guide is available, in print, at bicycle dealerships across the US for your
planning, investigation and drooling pleasure. Pick one up and get your calendar out, ’cause sometime you just gotta blow this popsicle stand and find one in Amsterdam. Or Italy. Or wherever.
We are riders. We like to tour. We like to commute. We even ride around in circles sometimes, or ovals if we want to go really fast. Really, we just like having our butts in the saddle so much we can’t even stand it. We’re the people with bikes in the garage and the cars outside. When we get off our bikes we write about bikes. We like bikes.
